New Youtube Video Strategies

I seem to have a couple videos that I have promoted with the "high competition" strategy, and they ranked for about a week, then disappeared off the radar completely. Is there a way to analyze what may have happened, and if the video is in in some sort of purgatory somewhere? When I look to see where it's ranked now, it doesn't even come up in the first 100 pages.
