No placehold for links?

I had high hope for this software but I'm now finding that links in content can't be placed?
They can only be placed at random? I only want the links to the end articles? 

Is there no shortcode or way to keep a link placement where I want it? Its really spammy to have a link slapped in the middle of an article for no reason
